Face Mapping Guide
Face mapping allows the transfer of a person's likeness to another person's image. To being with I will need at least two to three high resolution images of the subject's face. Any photo from a standard smartphone or digital camera should do. But please no photos downloaded from Facebook or other social media sites. These photos typically have been compressed and lose resolution. Below is a guide and types of photos I can do.
-
Photo 1
The first photo needs to be of the subject looking straight forward with relaxed facial expressions. Please no frown or large smile showing teeth. And have hair moved tot he side.
-
Photo 2
The second photo should be slightly off to the side and with the same facial expression of the first photo.
-
Photo 3
(Optional) If you want a picture produced showing a teethy smile, shouting or frown I will need a photo of the subject showing that same expression. Without this photo face mapping to the desired look will be difficult.
-
Sci-fi
This photo has a lightly open mouth which was extrapolate from the first two photos.
-
Ethnicities
If the subject is going to be mapped into another skin color or ethnicity, the facial features may change a bit. In this case the mapping is more of a blending instead of a copy and paste.
-
Exergerated Facial Features.
In this Viking shouting photo it was necessary to use a photo of the subject shouting for cohesive face mapping.
-
Non Human
I can face map into bodies that are non human but the facial features have to be close to human. For example this doll at Coachella. Others I can map to are for example orcs and elves. But non human creatures like big foot or a grey alien harder to do to impossible.
-
Painted Art
I can map the subject into a painting as long as the face is reasonably close to human like.
-
Age and body composition.
I can map into a body that is older or younger. Also those of a different body size.
Please note that I will not create any piece that contains full nudity, is overtly sexual or lude. If you have any questions or are ready to begin face mapping, please go to the contact tap. Happy Mapping!
